Caboolture

Where coast and country meet the city

BLENDING A SENSE OF COAST and country with city-fringe convenience, the Halcyon Glades community is continuing to flourish within the expanding urban centre of Caboolture.

Once a small dairy town, Caboolture retains its agricultural roots but is reaping the benefits of its key location on the northern reaches of Brisbane, at the gateway to the Sunshine Coast, and on the doorstep of spectacular Moreton Bay.

It is the area’s growth, easy accessibility, city conveniences and natural beauty that saw it become the site for Halcyon Glades, our fourth community in South East Queensland.

Caboolture’s strategic location is underlined by its proximity to the Bruce and D’Aguilar highways, and regular public transport links north to Gympie and south to the Gold Coast via the Queensland Rail network.

As the midway point between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, the area offers plenty for its residents and visitors; from major shopping and medical facilities, including Caboolture Hospital, to a diverse array of recreational clubs, leisure options and natural beauty.

Just to the east lies the stunning Moreton Bay Marine Park, a stunning aquatic playground of boating, fishing, water sports, island hopping and even whale watching.

Head west to discover the D’Aguilar Range, part of the Great Dividing Range, and magnificent D’Aguilar National Park with its lush sub-tropical rainforests and expanses of eucalypt woodlands.

Caboolture is also the home of several major cultural events that not only bring the community together but draw visitors from far and wide.

These include the Caboolture Country Music Jamboree, an annual air show at Caboolture Airfield and the Woodford Folk Festival, which is staged just a short drive away.

The airfield is also home to the Caboolture Warplane Museum, which features restored and operational WWII airplanes that can also be booked for joy flights – ideal for history buffs and aspiring aviators.

Given Caboolture’s depth and breadth, it is little wonder the area is experiencing rapid population growth as many smaller Queensland towns decline.

Several thousand new residents move to Caboolture every year, taking advantage of an abundance of affordable real estate, a laidback way of life and connectivity to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures reveal the number of residents has ballooned by 20 per cent since 2011 and now sits at more than 71,000 people.

Halcyon Glades home owners are witnessing this growth firsthand, with a new shopping centre, Pumicestone Marketplace, under construction just across the road from the community.

Due to open later this year, the neighbourhood shopping hub will feature a Drakes Supermarket, specialty shops, a pharmacy and a medical centre, to provide a wonderful convenience for Halcyon Glades home owners.

The area offers plenty for its residents and visitors; from major shopping and medical facilities, including Caboolture Hospital, to a diverse array of recreational clubs, leisure options and natural beauty.

And like the area surrounding it, Halcyon Glades also continues to grow with the recent unveiling of its latest stage of homes, which will bring new faces and friends to this vibrant and beautiful part of South East Queensland.
