Construction continues on Halcyon’s newest community, B by Halcyon, located in the foothills of idyllic Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.

Project Director Chris Carley said work was measured but steady, with progress being made on the site with a number of slabs poured, frames going up and the private road being cleared.

“Naturally we are keeping a close eye on both Federal and State Government directives but at this time construction is considered an essential industry and we are progressing as time and circumstance allows,” Mr Carley said.

“We have had some rain delays but the reality is we continue to make good progress.”

Mr Carley said Halcyon has a strong history in developing over 50s communities in South East Queensland and with over 1,400 homes settled, a strong balance sheet and a conservative growth strategy is well placed to respond and move forward in the COVID-19 environment.

“So that’s what we are doing – remaining calm and carrying on,” he said.

Mr Carley said Release 1 had sold out, and they had received expressions of interest on almost half of the next release, which included some two-storey and RV homes that have a garage large enough to store an RV onsite.

He said they were working closely with those buyers, helping them through any concerns or issues which arise during the current pandemic situation.

“We know people are at different stages of the journey so we will be doing what we can to assist,” he said.
