Halcyon Glades GO PINK for breast cancer research
The team at Glades has done it again, raising $1,083.70 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s GO PINK month.
GO PINK month raises much-needed funds for women and men whose lives have been – and will be – impacted by breast cancer.
To raise money, the Glades team donned pink hair throughout the month, held raffles, and sold chocolate-covered strawberries throughout the community.
Fundraising for breast cancer research is a cause the team is regularly involved in, raising a big $6,000 at last year’s Pink Ribbon Breakfast event.
Halcyon Glades Project Director Emily Sherring said raising money for breast cancer research is important to the Glades community.
“Breast Cancer is something that has affected us personally at Glades, as well as for many homeowners,” Emily said.
“It’s still the most diagnosed cancer in Australia, but research is slowly making a difference to those statistics.
“We hope our ongoing fundraising will help with this research - no matter how big or small - and can’t thank the Glades community enough for their support and contribution to the cause,” Emily said.
Well done, Team Glades!
